My hubby and I will be celebrating 10 years of marriage this coming May!  I can't believe it's been that long, but it also feels like it should be longer since we dated for so long before we got married. 

We started dating at 18 years old, when we were both finishing up some high school courses.  Over the years through college, working, and the first years of marriage money was really tight.  We wanted to celebrate Valentine's Day, but it seemed crazy to spend a ton of money when we didn't have it.  So we set a $5 limit on what we could spend, and that included the card.  It takes a lot of time, effort, and thought to only spend $5 on Valentine's Day.

These days we are much more comfortable, and can afford a little more on Valentine's Day, so these days I like to spend him special things like a heartfelt cards, and special gifts.  I don't like to be frivolous, but I do go over the $5 limit for sure! LOL
