I know money is tight in many families, and we all have our favourite charities that we need/want to support. But when sometimes it comes down to feeding our own family or donating to that school or church fund raiser. Besides, we want to feed our families healthy, organic food, and sometimes ends have a hard time meeting. So choices have to be made, right? WRONG!
DonateNaturally.com is a Canadian owned grocery, and household item website that sells organic, natural foods and household products. Anything you would need for your family, and all delivered to your door for free via Canada Post (the free delivery is for a limited time, so get your orders in now!). Through Canada Post, you can only get there non-perishable items, for obvious reasons. However, they do have delivery times to these areas: Oakville, Mississauga, Brampton, Toronto, Scarborough, Richmond Hill, Vaughan, Markham. During Cottage season, they even have pick up of perishable items at Vaughan Mills Mall!
When you are shopping for your groceries, and household items (products you need anyways!), they are tallying up your donations! You see, they donate 15% of each order to a charity. Not just any charity either, the charity you choose!!
As you are checking out, you can choose from their drop down list, a charity you would like to receive your donations. You can check out their list of donation recipients HERE.
I know what you are thinking: What if they don't have my charity? Well I know the answer because they didn't have the new school my sons will be attending this fall. Although they did have the school they just left due to the changing of the school boundaries. They have a little box that says you can add your charity there. They will then contact the charity and ask them if they would like to be included on this list. And if you put the name of the new school in wrong because you have no idea how to spell it. They will contact you to make sure of the info if they can't find the info themselves. I was quite impressed that they were so thorough looking into the charity for me.
I found shopping on their site very easy, straight-forward and it felt good to know I would be donating to my favourite charity. I felt it was a great price, and the quality of the items I received was really good.
While we were talking about my contest win, we decided to work together too, so I got to go shopping again! YAY! So this time I spent $25.
They even threw in a special package of raincoast crisps in each package for me to try out. I liked th is company, and what they are doing. This is a much better way for schools to fundraise!
